Claire talks to Annabel Watts who is Head Gardener for Munstead Wood, the home and garden of Gertrude Jekyll, which the National Trust bought in 2023. The two talk about their love of Jekyll's work and how she changed planting. They go into the issues of custodianship and discuss how much or how little they can make changes to Jekyll's work – adding Alliums or not, or what to do about the Erigeron? Annabel, who has worked at Munstead Wood for 21 years, talks about the work of a very gifted gardener and craftswoman, and her working relationship with architect Edwin Lutyens.
